RED DAY Initiative 2016
Keller Williams Realty Centres (KWRC) will be among nearly 112,000 Keller Williams associates from across the globe participating in the eighth annual RED Day which is being held on May 12, 2016. RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, is a collective service initiative where the company’s associates donate a day to give back to the community. KWRC has participated in Red Day for seven years helping such organizations as Inn from the Cold, Doan Hospice Historical House and Salvation Army Camp.
For our 2016 initiative, KWRC wants to make a difference for a struggling family in our area. We are looking to identify a family wo has a need for some work on their home. Life circumstances are such that this homeowner no longer has the time or money to properly maintain their home. Perhaps the family is caring for a terminally ill family member and all their time and money is being used up just to stay afloat. It could be an elderly couple or individual on a fixed income and the cost of living has eroded their ability to pay for anything other than the absolute basics.
KWRC associates would come in on Red Day and paint, fix, plant, landscape, clean and generally do our part to help the family get back the pride of ownership that may now elude them as circumstances have caused the gradual decline of their home. As a group of REALTORS® with a network of contractors, plumbers, electricians, roofers, etc. we can pull a team together and truly make a difference in the lives of a family who love their home, want to keep their home and need a little bit of help getting back on their feet.
If you know of such a family in the Aurora/Newmarket/Georgina area, or if you are one such family desperately hoping and praying for some small miracle to come your way, please eamil Michael Tough. It takes time to plan our annual RED Day and this year we truly want to make a difference in the lives of a family right in our community.
